Rothrock State Forest is the ridge and valley country of central Pennsylvania steep parallel ridges of sandstone separated by narrow valleys. Some of the best backcountry and mountain biking in the Mid-Atlantic. The Mid State Trail follows the ridge tops with big views of the folded Appalachians. State College is 20 minutes away with great food breweries and the Penn State campus.
