Big Bend Ranch makes Big Bend NP look crowded. 311000 acres of volcanic mountains canyons and desert along the Rio Grande with maybe a handful of other visitors. The River Road FM 170 is one of the most spectacular drives in North America hugging the river through canyons and volcanic formations. The dark sky here is the best in Texas. This is true West Texas wilderness.
